Board Job Description

Committee positions: Events, Finance, Property, PR, Fund Development, Community Engagement and Outreach, Personnel Development and Event Planning.

Members at large: Available

Meetings: Held are held quarterly

Commitment: Members can expect to commit 8-10 hrs./month

Background: We are currently looking for people with a background in law, accounting or finance, marketing, PR, strategic planning, fundraising/development, public relations, human resources and building/property management/real-estate.

How can you get your congregation, group, or office involved?

​

• Day Center Volunteer: Maintenance, landscaping or gardening, coordinating and organizing donations, answer phones.

• Host Sites: Provide hospitality to guest families directly in your congregation or site. These volunteers provide meals, overnight hospitality, and a friendly face for families to feel safe. Congregations often provide financial support to help aid our mission in assisting families moving forward.

• Become a Host: Hosts can offer up their space to house four families for a week at a time, or they can assist us in obtaining rental apartments for families.

• Support Congregations:  Provide in-kind resources or financial support in partnership with a host congregation.

• House Warming: Donate  household supplies  for families moving into their new homes or basic necessities while in our program.
